If energetic vintage interior space combined with modern and contemporary elements is your thing, then you are going to love this residence. “Collected Interiors” refurnished and styled this two-story family house in North Coogee, Western Australia for a young couple that was after a relaxed, fresh and modern home to share with their two children.
The idea was to put together an understated, organic, rustic, colourful/fun, relaxed yet modern look to give the new house some character and personality. Interior walls needed to be repainted, new furniture pieces purchased as well as some of the client’s existing pieces were refurbished and reused. The exterior of the house also needed to be repainted and the gardens were landscaped from scratch.
We cannot help admire the amazing design of the exterior living room’s sofa and chairs and how their modern pattern is combined with the old vintage coffee table. There are so many beautiful details in this house that it’s impossible to name them all! Notice the colorful carpet under the industrial dining chairs, the neon yellow legs of the welcome stand near the front door which they are so wonderfully combined with the stripped carpet, the bursts of color and the old wooden furniture that take over the place.
Watching at the pictures below is going to make you realize that “Collected Interiors” accomplished to create the relaxed and energetic character that the owners were after by mastering how to mix aged organic natural pieces with modern and colorful furnishings!
